If you were to use any search engine and look up “Best UGC site for creators”, you would get a lot of hits. Most websites you would have never heard of, fancy brand landing pages looking for influencers, whatever.
I still don’t even know 80% of the UGC sites and I make $500 a week doing this. Find one or two sites that you like the best (interface, usability, ease of sign up, whatever), I chose Billo and JoinBrands, and just start applying for jobs.
Most of these brands are just paying for photos so they can put you in their review section. Yes, spoiler, almost every brand you see on Amazon, Shopify sites, Walmart, ANYWHERE, the reviews are paid for. That was one of the most shocking things I noticed when I first started this.
I didn’t understand why they all needed to specific selfies, but also, 5 star reviews! Don’t get me wrong, I pretty much use most of the products I get or ship them home to family to use (my brother got free golf stuff, he loved it), but these are things I wouldn’t normally buy myself.
Seeing as so many people buy random things like skincare products, supplements, or home décor, start getting paid for it! You will not make $1000 your first week, and may not even get your first job. But, as it goes for anything, a bit of consistency in applying and making sure you do not look homeless in your photo, you will get jobs - I PROMISE YOU.
Most people reading this will get a spark of motivation, look up some sites, start signing up, and then realize they need to email themselves a headshot to upload and think it is too much work and never do it. That is why I am telling you this, because no one ever does the things they say they will.
Please start.
