I kept getting emails that a package was on its way and it was not something I ordered. Then, when it showed up, I was surprised to see the JoinBrands wrapping! They sent me a hat and some fun Christmas socks. Very honored to have gotten anything in the first place, but it more so was validating to know that I am doing something right.
This is my first full year doing UGC and my growth has been steady. Even some of the brands that I have done jobs for on the platform, I have done additional videos after the fact. As always, I am not saying you are going to make $10k a month and can quit your day job. Most of you are probably too irresponsible with money to quit and work for yourself anyway.
As 2026 approaches, I do not plan on slowing down. This newsletter is written proof of that as I want to continue putting something out each week. It is Christmas break so I have had a couple of Tik Toks I have had to make and 3 product videos, paid for the gifts! Whether you found this post from my TT profile, Twitter, or some other organic way, I appreciate it!
Most people will eventually think I am trying to sell a course or make money (which yes, I want to make money) but I know no one will actually listen to what I say and start doing UGC. I am imploring anyone to start and let me know once you get your first job, and things will just snowball from there. I am so glad that I didn’t fizzle out and just stop applying for stop (because I usually start things and never finish).
Everyone is going to be gung-ho about starting off 2026 the right way, so do it! At least start, so you can see what’s out there and the opportunities. Enjoy the time off, the family and friends, then get to work.
